Citizens of the United States, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan apply for an Electronic Travel Authority through the Australian ETA App. Most European passport holders, including British, Irish, German, French and Italian citizens, qualify instead for the eVisitor, which is free and applied for online. Everyone else, including travellers from India, China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Pakistan, Nigeria and Brazil, needs a Visitor visa (subclass 600).
