Thailand entry requirements for travellers from Indonesia
Visa requirement summary
Indonesian passport holders can enter Thailand without a visa. As fellow ASEAN members, Indonesia and Thailand have a bilateral visa-exemption arrangement. Indonesian nationals are entitled to enter Thailand for up to 30 days per entry without prior visa application.

Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)
All visitors to Thailand must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card before arrival. This has been mandatory since May 2025 and applies to all nationalities. Submit it free at tdac.immigration.go.th within 72 hours before your arrival. A QR code confirmation will be sent to your email.
How long you can stay
Indonesian travellers may stay for up to 30 days per entry. A 30-day extension can be obtained at any Thai immigration office for 1,900 THB.
Passport validity requirements
Your passport must be valid for at least six months from your arrival date in Thailand.
Proof of funds and financial requirements
The standard requirement is 20,000 THB per person or 40,000 THB per family. Cash, a bank card, or a bank statement are all acceptable.
Onward or return travel
A confirmed return or onward flight should be available to show at check-in and immigration.
Health requirements
No vaccinations are required for Indonesian nationals entering Thailand.
Other entry requirements
Thailand’s drug laws are strict — trafficking carries the death penalty. E-cigarettes are banned. The visa exemption is for tourism only.
